Nigerian Police debunk the Claim of Shooting freedom fighters Sowore Omoyele

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has denied claims by writer and activist, Omoyele Sowore, that he was shot at in Abuja throughout a protest towards insecurity within the nation at present, Could 31. Learn right here.

 

Reacting to his declare, the spokesperson for the command, Mariam Yusuf, in an announcement launched, stated there was no document of any incident comparable to a taking pictures in the course of the protest

“The FCT Command needs to debunk the viral message in some sections of the social media purporting that ‘Omoyele Sowore was shot by a feminine Assistant Commissioner of Police’ on the Unity Fountain.

Opposite to the hypothesis, police operatives professionally restored calm on the Unity Fountain following makes an attempt by a gaggle of protesters to incite a public disturbance.

The protesters, who went on the rampage, have been resisted by police operatives in an effort to stop them from inflicting a breakdown of the regulation and order. There isn’t any document of such an incident as of the time of this launch.

The command enjoins residents to stay calm and law-abiding whereas reaffirming its dedication in the direction of the safety of lives and property inside the FCT.”
