Akeredolu: I Am Not In Support Of Yoruba Nation

Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has acknowledged that he’s not in help of any agitation for Yoruba Nation.

Akeredolu, in an announcement despatched to POLITICS NIGERIA on Sunday, disclosed that he was not providing any type of help or backing to Yoruba Nation Agitators. The Governor’s assertion is coming a day after group advocating for the secession of the Yorubas from Nigeria held a rally within the state’s capital, Akure.

The assertion learn; “It has come to the data of the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, that some group of individuals who held a rally beneath the quilt of what they time period ‘secessionist agitations’ in Akure, on Saturday, Could 22, 2021, erroneously claimed to have had his help for the rally.”

“Governor Akeredolu needs to state clearly that whereas he acknowledges the best of people and teams to carry peaceable rallies, it should not be misconstrued to imply help for secessionist agenda and or balkanization of the nation. Removed from it.”

“Unequivocally, the Governor’s opinion on the Akure rally or every other of its ilk, is simply to the impact that he’s not against any civil protest which isn’t in breach of the extant legal guidelines of the Nation.
