Herdsmen Kill 3 Farmers In Benue and Stray Bullet Kills 1 During Protest

Suspected herdsmen on the weekend killed 4 farmers in Yelewta group in Guma Native Authorities Space of Benue State.

New Telegraph learnt that three of the 4 folks have been gruesomely killed by the herders whereas the fourth was allegedly felled by a stray bullet of safety companies in a bid to comprise the protest which broke out following the killings of the trio.

The protesters had mounted barricades alongside the Makurdi-Lafia specific approach in protest towards killing of the trio who have been murdered of their farm.

Chairman of Guma Native Authorities Space, Mr. Caleb Aba, confirmed the incident.

He mentioned that the offended youths had blocked the freeway to protest the killing of the three youngsters who went to domesticate their farm following the onset of wet season.

Aba mentioned the homicide of the youngsters by suspected herders angered the youth of Yelewta who barricaded the freeway with the deceased corpses, making it tough for motorists to ply the route.
